In our video podcast, many exciting personalities talk about the role our friendly fjord city plays in the lives of native and elected Flensburg residents. They reveal how their lives led them to the north, what working on the coast means to them and their work-life balance, and why they would choose Flensburg again at any time.
"Media professor" and university lecturer Jim Lacy and Kirsten Herrmann, managing director of Hotel Hafen Flensburg, visit insider tourist tips of the Fördestadt with the e-rickshaw. From the Pirate's Nest, they head to Ben's Fish Hut for a fish roll. In typical North German drizzle, we chat about our love of Flensburg and enjoy the special flair.
Points, beer and handball - these are just some of the attributes people associate with Flensburg. Jim Lacy takes handball pro Holger Glandorf, managing director of the SG Flensburg-Handewitt, on a rickshaw ride through the Fördestadt. Together they take a look at the venue for home games, the Flens Arena, which is located directly on the grounds of Flensburg's two universities, so a coffee can be enjoyed in the outdoor cafeteria area in the bright sunshine.
In the spirit of sustainability, university lecturer Jim Lacy takes guests from the region on sightseeing tours by e-rickshaw. In episode 3, Daniel Jonas, startup founder of DF Automotive and Flensburg university graduate, joins in. Together they explore Flensburg and the surrounding area. For breakfast, they have french fries at Annie's kiosk in Denmark. A leisurely stroll along the beach with a view of the Ox Islands gives an insight into Flensburg's high quality of life.
