I came to "The most beautiful fjord in the world" ...
... because as a central tourist marketer we naturally have to be on board with this association. Even if tourism is not the focus of the association's activities here, the overlap is still great: because living and working in such a popular maritime vacation region as the Flensburg Fjord naturally offers completely different opportunities to find your personal work-life balance. My job is basically to rave about exactly that.

... because I'm an absolute local patriot - I can't imagine any other place to live and work at all. I was born and raised here, so I know about the endless advantages of the city and the surrounding area - on both sides of the border - and enjoy them to the fullest every day! Be it the nature, the culture, the exciting history behind it or simply the Scandinavian touch to everything here.
The people in and around Flensburg ...
... are a very special breed of people for me: They are (somewhat generalizing, of course) basically very (Scandinavian) relaxed and reserved, but also warm and open-minded. That doesn't make for a Rhenish cheerfulness, but our open friendliness quickly offers commitment - and the Scandinavian "you" is never far away. In combination with the ten thousand students in Flensburg and the corresponding cultural scene, the city also appears very young and exudes the flair of a small Scandinavian port metropolis.

... for an optimal work-life balance, which not only offers working people a healthy - no, wonderful (!) - living environment, but also provides companies with motivated and committed personnel. We have a lot of advantages in the region not only for leisure time and family life (and two cultures with all their offers also for Danish citizens). We also have an innovative cross-border start-up scene, world market leaders and companies with centuries-old traditions, as well as many students who are aware of the advantages of this location.
