No question! As a native of Flensburg, my heart is attached to this beautiful, lovable, sometimes lively, sometimes dreamy city. My professional time in Husum, also known as the 'gray city by the sea', or also in Schleswig showed me quite clearly that a return to Flensburg was inevitable.
The people in and around Flensburg ...
... are open, friendly, curious, helpful, sometimes short-tempered, but you must not take that personally. I have often been asked by vacation acquaintances whether I really come from the north. I wouldn't be as stiff as they always say... No, we're not.
For me, Flensburg stands ...
... for companies that are known far beyond the borders, partly all over the world. Who does not know the double heart or knows that silver cutlery from Robbe & Berking is even coveted by the sheikhs? Who doesn't get a grin on their face at the name Beate Uhse or Orion? And who is not afraid of the points account or has discovered our variety of drinks with beer and rum? In which city are there so many traditional companies, which can often look back on a history of decades, oh, centuries, and yet have positioned themselves so modernly and innovatively for the future? It is not at all uncommon for employment relationships to exist here that extend far beyond 25 years. What does that say? It's like in a marriage - both sides have to do something to ensure that the other is doing well, that he/she/it can develop and feel good. It is as simple as that.
